Animosity is the third album by American hard rock band Sevendust.
Many of Sevendust's hardcore fans consider this to be their best album, as it is their most experimental and progressive album released and incorporates both heavy and melodic elements. It is also the first Sevendust album to feature any sort of ballad-like song(s) ("X-Mas Day" and "Angel's Son") and songs with a positive message ("Shine" and "Live Again") as opposed to constant brutality and dark subject matter, as with the first two albums. "Praise" and "Live Again" were released as singles in 2001, followed by "Crucified" which was released to the radio only.
