Anime Village

Anime Village was Bandai Visual's first attempt to enter the North American anime market. It first went online 08/13/98. It is an online store for various anime titles that they had the right to distribute. Unfortunately, Anime Village's releases were on subtitled-only VHS only, despite the prevalence of DVD, which greatly hurt their sales. It ceased operation sometime in the year 2000, and their more successful titles were transferred to the Bandai label.
