Anime America is a former convention for fans of anime. The first Anime America was held in 1993 in Santa Clara, California.[1] Subsequent conventions were held annually from 1994 to 1996 in San Jose, California.[2][3][4] Go Nagai, Akemi Takada, and Mutsumi Inomata attended the 1994 convention.[5] Megumi Hayashibara, a seiyuu (Japanese voice actress), wrote about her experiences attending Anime America 1995 in the comic Megumi-Toons.[6]
