The Aniliidae (pipe snakes) is a snake family belonging to the Henophidia superfamily. Modern classifications restrict the family to the South American Red Pipe Snake or False Coral Snake Anilius scytale, with the previously included Asian genus Cylindrophis raised to a separate family Cylindrophiidae.

These snakes possess a vestigial pelvic girdle which is visible as cloacal spurs. They are ovoviviparous. Food consists mainly of amphibians and reptiles.
