[edit] Homer

Homer is an incorporated town located between Lufkin and Huntington. It was, in fact, once the county seat of Angelina County. However, Homer is so small that the residents have Lufkin mailing addresses and most residents consider themselves residents of Lufkin rather than Homer. Other than the above link, I haven't found any other article on the entire Internet about Homer. Perhaps we should start a Wikipedia article...? --Stallions2010 21:30, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

I have begun a Wikipedia article about Homer. However, the article will need a lot of help. If anyone could add on, it would be greatly appreciated. --Stallions2010 21:44, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Herty, Texas - just east of Lufkin

I just created an article for Herty, Texas (I'm working on an article about the person it's named after, Charles Herty, so I thought I would create the Herty, Texas article in the process and link it to his bio entry. If any of you folks familiar with Angelina County can add or correct any info I pulled and possibly misinterpreted out of its Handbook of Texas entry, I'd be very grateful. The demographic info just looks wrong. Not sure how the population would stay the same for three decades. Also, it looks like Herty is not incorporated and is fairly small so I called it an unincorporated area - feel free to correct me. Much obliged. --Roswell native 06:18, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
