Hmmm - is there a possibility of a new picture for the userbox, other than just a plain cross- perhaps something that screams 'anglican' - any ideas?

How about something like this, using the compass rose logo of the Anglican Communion?

It originally had the compass rose. The problem is, that image is used under a fair use claim and so cannot be used in Template space per Wikipedia policy. It can't be used on this page either, which is why I've removed it from the example above. Angr (talk) 00:41, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Well, the first one doesn't really have anything to do with Anglicanism, and the third one is a Roman Catholic mitre (as well as being listed at WP:PUI for having an unclear copyright status). I think Canterbury cathedral is a good choice, but maybe a different picture of it would be more attractive. How about:

I'm also not real thrilled with the gray and pink color scheme. I don't know what colors I associate with Anglicanism, but not gray and pink. At least not together. Angr (talk) 08:16, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
(The compass rose was supposed to remind people of the logo without being the logo.) I'm not sure what colours to use either: I just picked grey and pink out of the air. Suggestions welcome! The Wednesday Island 13:28, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Anglican Userboxes

Does anyone else think that the recent development of faction-specific Anglican userboxes is going to get the generic one deleted? Someone already tried to delete all of the religion boxes, and I don’t see how adding “Liberal” “Orthodox” “Conservative” etc. to the Anglican boxes is going to help the generic Anglican box the next time that it is up for deletion.
