The Anglican Diocese of Tasmania is located in Tasmania, Australia and is an extra-provincial diocese of the Anglican Church of Australia. The cathedral church of the diocese is St David's Cathedral, Hobart. The current Bishop of Tasmania is the Right Reverend John Harrower.
The Diocese of Tasmania is the oldest diocese in Australia, and has a history of over 200 years. A Reverand Robert Knopwood was amonsgt the mission to colonise Tasmania in 1803, and was responsible for establishing the Anglican Church in Tasmania upon settlement.
