Angelle Sampey

Angelle Sampey, born August 7, 1970, New Orleans, an American Pro Stock Motorcycle racer. She has won the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle championship three times (2000-2002). Since her debut in 1996, she has scored 40 event victories, the most of any female in NHRA competition and 9th overall in the professional classes, and won the highest totals for any woman in motor sports. On March 17, 2007 in Gainesville, Florida, she scored her 40th career pole position and more importantly set the national Pro Stock Motorcycle elapsed time record with a 6.911 second run.
Along with Shirley Muldowney, she is one of the only women to have won a major motorsport championship title, and she and Muldowney are the only female drag racers to have scored more than ten NHRA event wins.
Angelle, who was born Angelle Monique Sampey, has been married twice, first marrying Kevin Seeling, then Nicky Savoie.
