"Angeleyes" is a song by the Swedish pop group ABBA which was written, recorded and released in 1979. The lyrics and music were composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, with the lyrics sung by both Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, typical of most ABBA compositions.

In the UK "Angeleyes" was released as a double A-side with "Voulez-Vous" because the record company thought that this track, with its classical ABBA-arrangement, was exactly what the record-buyers wanted ABBA to do, though "Voulez-Vous" received more radio airplay and to this day remains the far more famous of the two singles. "Voulez-Vous" appears on the ABBA Gold album, while, due to an "embarrassment of riches," and limited space on the first CD, the lesser-known "Angeleyes" is featured on the More ABBA Gold album.

A planned Spanish version of "Angeleyes" remains unrecorded.

[edit] Chart Success

The double A-side managed to reach number three on the UK charts. At the same time, Roxy Music released a song (with a different tune and lyrics) also called "Angel Eyes", which charted slightly lower. There is no evidence though, that the similar titles may have caused confusion among record buyers.
