Angela Devi (born Angela Shunali Dhingra July 30, 1975; died March 31, 2006) was an American adult model. According to her website, she was born in New York City; she originally became known through her modeling work for Foxes.com and later on her own website, AngelaDevi.com. She also sold several self-produced videos over the Internet in which she spoke directly to the tripod-mounted camera, and thus to the viewer. These included titles such as "Clothing Optional," "Chocolate Covered Cherry," and "Boobie Squeezing Cookie Teasing." She is also noted for being one of the few pornographic actresses with an Indian background.

[edit] Death

On April 1, 2006, rumors began circulating that AngelaDevi.com had displayed an announcement that Devi had died[1] and that the site was no longer available to new members. Within 24 hours the announcement of her death had been removed, but the site remained unavailable to new members, ultimately closing on April 30, 2006. Few claim actually seeing the notice, but most fans did see a message stating that the site would not be accepting new members, and will be closing on April 30th, as it did. The domain's DNS records were removed shortly thereafter, but have since been restored and are redirecting to Foxes.com.

On August 6, 2006 Lukeisback.com, a website specializing in the gossip and behind-the-scenes activities of the porn industry, posted copies of the police report, filed April 1, 2006, on Angela's death. Angela's body was found inside her residence in Scottsdale, Arizona at approximately 10:17 am on March 31, 2006. The official cause of death was suicide by asphyxiation. A garbage bag in the kitchen was found to contain "a glass with a straw and several empty Xanax packages. The empty packages previously contained 115 0.5 mg pills that were unaccounted for."[2]
