Angel of Mercy (2000 book)

Angel of Mercy is a young adult novel by Lurlene McDaniel. It features idealistic main character Heather Barlow, who embarks on a charitable mission with Mercy Ships after her graduation from high school. During the course of her journey, she meets and falls in love with Ian McCollum, saves a baby who needs an operation for a cleft palate, and finds it difficult to return to life with her parents and sister, Amber, in the United States.

Heather and Amber were also featured in the sequel Angel of Hope.
