[edit] Angel Wars - Guardian Force
Angel Wars is an animated action adventure series from TeleStoryTOONS and EMI CMG. Since its introduction in late 2004, the popular series has distinguished itself by presenting faith-affirming storylines through impressive 3d animation provided by the LA based Backyard Digital Studios, engaging viewers with inspiring characters and imaginative stories in the strong Judeo-Christian tradition of JRR Tolkien and C. S. Lewis. [1]
Officially called "Angel Wars Guardian Force", this CGI movie series is a basic underline of good versus evil. The movie is intended for a boys 6-11 viewing range. Being Christian based, the movies' good guys are angels from the Bible or names with positive meaning.
The series is filled with breathtaking action, rousing music, and epic characters. A departure from the traditional version of angels such as envisioned by Gustav Dore, the almost mech armoured clad angels in this series are a more futuristic with fantastical chariot vehicles and glowing weapony. The Guardian Force, headed by the biblical archangel Micheal, are briefed by the unseen Maker, aboard an airship called The Seven. They depart by spreading their wings and flying down to Earth where the battle demonic fallen angels that seek to corrupt humanity. The student angels (Anawim) use wingboards until they earn their wings. The angels and the evil demons (Morg) are invisible to the human eye as they existing on a spiritual plane, unless they take form of a human. The angels can however affect the physical world in order to miraculously save humans from danger. [3]
The Guardian Force convenes in the Chamber where they receive their directives from the Maker King

Chris Waters, Sydney, Australia, grew up in a split Christian household. Chris (6), his sister (4) and both parents left Australia to Los Angeles. After four years in the States, Chris' father moved back to Australia. Several years later his mother remarried and the family settled in Southern California.
Chris got married and had children. The Waters family then moved to Virginia Beach so Chris could attend Regent University. While working on his Master's Degree, 9/11/01 Chris developed Angel Wars.

For the series visual style, Chris mentioned that he and his partners are Backyard Entertainment were inspired by the stylization techniques in comic books and Japanese animation. C.S. Lewis' "The Screwtape Letters also served as an inspiration for the depiction of demons in the series. [4]

The Redemption CCG: Angel Wars was introduced into the card game in 2004, after movie came out. It is a (?) card expansion of the Redemption CCG.
The working title for Episode 4 is "Message in a Bottle" and the story introduces a new class of lighting fast messenger angels. As of early 2007 this newest installment was in pre-production still.
There is a comic and graphic novel in pre-production as well.
Angel Wars: Soul Quest was released 2001. The idea of Angel Wars was laid out but pulled into a lower age group. There was only one episode released "Soul Quest" on VHS, which had a trailer for a second episode said to be in development, and to be released in 2002. It was abandoned in favor of developing the Guardian Force series.
An instrumental version of the popular Switchfoot song "Dare You to Move" appears in Episode 1.
The first line of action figures were announced by Chris Waters in late 2006 for Easter of 2007. The line includes the Archangel Michael and the fallen angel Morgan. The 6.5" posable figures include removable helmets, wings, and swords. The high quality collectables were managed by Near Point Toys. [8]
