[edit] First floor
The children's section is located on the first floor, with small stool and tables for young children. It consists of books for young children and fiction and non-fiction books for children aged six to twelve years old. The Adult fiction section is also located at the first floor next to Cafe Gailee. There is a small stage near Cafe Gailee, but that has not been used for any performances so far. Comfy armchairs may be spotted beside the glass walls near the Adult Fiction section of the library, which allow readers to sit comfortably while they consume their books.
[edit] Second floor
The Young People's Section is on the second floor. One half of the second floor is dedicated to it. There is a theme based somewhat on Edward de Bono, with different coloured hats on the shelves. Perhaps it is to encourage lateral thinking, but this is only an onlooker's guess. On the other side are non-fiction books dedicated to languages, arts, design, computer etc. There is also a special section with a wooden design catering to Tamil books. The Chinese and Malay books have a smaller section. The Chinese section, with plenty of novels by famous writers, is located at the far end near the Quiet Reading Room.
