Mr. Straw- Wikipedia has a policy against writing an article about yourself. See Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Carl Hewitt for an example of how excited people get about this kind of thing. Wikipedia is not for personal advertising. You should stick to subjects with which you are not personally involved. I have also removed some rather blatant promotion from another page you edited. Both of these things are violations of wikipedia's WP:NPOV policy. I noticed that this is not the first time you have had personal advertising removed from wikipedia (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Andrew U. D. Straw) --rogerd 05:12, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Gosh, it says that autobiographies are discouraged in that link you gave, and specifically said that it was NOT a policy. And as for it being personal advertising, please see the comment I left on your talk page. It can't be advertising if I don't offer the service, can it? -- Andrewudstraw 10:18, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

I see that you stated that I am "out of control", and made "made the biased and unjustified edits". On the basis of 2 edits? That seems a little over the top. Also, I see you found an obscure old message on my talk page where I made a tongue-in-cheek reference to Richard Nixon in the course of replying to another editor who attacked me for supporting a RfA of a self-described Marxist. And you used that to attack my objectivity and fitness to edit articles? Give me a break. What I did in those 2 edits had nothing to do with politics. The Hostettler edit was to remove extraneous detail about someone (you) who had a minor role in the affair. The Voorhees edit was to remove your self-promoting inclusion of yourself into the edit. That is simply not what is done in wikipedia. We don't write articles about ourselves. Articles are to be written from a neutral point of view. Both of my contributions were verifiable, had a neutral point of view, and were not "self-promotions." I happen to be the student who spearheaded that whole movement at IU--without me, it wouldn't have happened. This is a historical fact, not a self-promotion. And as for Al Voorhees, he hired me to be his point man. This is also a historical fact. It is disingenuous to state that he hired a full-time lawyer to work on his project, and then delete the lawyer's name. It's downright onry, in fact. I have said nothing deceptive, nothing worthy of being edited out. I stand by my "out of control" characterization. --andrewudstraw
Unfortunately, Wikipedia does feel that writing about any topic with which one is personally involved is inappropriate. In both of these cases, I wrote about topics which involved myself, and I should not have done so. I will certainly be more aware of this policy in the future, and will put this down as a learning experience. --Andy 02:35, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

It looks as though we have an understanding, for that I want to thank you and MONGO. MONGO is a very good administrator and mediator, and one who is dedicated to the principle of NPOV. One of the more important principles I support in wikipedia is "please do not bite the newcomers", which, if you feel that I have violated, I am truly sorry. Perhaps we may have other mutual interests that cause us to work together in the future, and if so, I look forward to it. [edit] Archiving
To archive your talk page, first put a link on your talk page to a new subpage, something like [[User talk:Andrewudstraw/archive 1]] . This will initially be a red link, since it won't exist until you click on it. Then open the new page and edit your talk page in separate windows and cut and paste between them. That, in the simplest form is how you do it, once you get the hang of it, you can get a little fancier. Feel free to open my talk page and archive pages in edit mode to see some examples. I am a little overdue for an archive, my talk page is getting a little large. A more detailed explaination can be found at WP:ARCHIVE. Also, if you want to rename the subpage later, you can use the move tab at the top of the page to rename it. (See WP:MOVE). Also, if you create something that you later want to delete, unfortunately, only admins can delete pages, which seems kind of silly when we are talking about your user space. But that is what it is. If you ever want to delete a page in your user space (until you become an admin), you can ask me or MONGO, or another admin to do it for you (see criteria for speedy deletion. I hope this helps. [edit] Speedy deletion of Hundred-year-old hamburger
A tag has been placed on Hundred-year-old hamburger, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
