[edit] Welcome!

Hi, Andnanso, Welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, please read about the simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page.

[edit] Additional tips

Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!

  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the articles for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you believe something you added or created has been unfairly treated, talk to the user or follow the steps in resolving disputes
  • If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

[edit] Happy Wiki-ing.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Gisele_Bundchen.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Gisele_Bundchen.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:20, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:GiseleFurScum.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:GiseleFurScum.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Please stop uploading images

Please be aware that images for which we just have permission to use are not permissible on Wikipedia. The image owner could revoke permission at any time, and the image can't be reused anywhere else: not in Wiktionary, not in Wikibooks, and possibly not in the other languages Wikipedia is available in. It also prevents people from re-using Wikipedia content. Wikipedia is a free content encyclopedia, so any image should be under a free license. Simple permission fails all three points of what constitutes a free license.

Please do not upload any more images until you have read the image use policy. Thanks. Stifle (talk) 22:48, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:ArenaCover.jpg)

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:ArenaCover.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Abu Badali 23:05, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edits to Gisele article

While I appreciate the good work you're doing on this article, you might want to invest some time in the Show Preview button. It's tough for the people monitoring the article (like me) when there's 50 very minor edits one after another. Soo 16:26, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Gisele Leo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Gisele Leo.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jkelly 20:40, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, Andnanso, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  Please note that it is your responsibility to determine the source and copyright status of any image you upload to Wikipedia and include that information in the image page. -- Infrogmation 01:13, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summary

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. --Abu Badali 05:41, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Gisele scene.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Gisele scene.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:06, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summary

I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! --Abu Badali 21:20, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Giselle images

Hi, Andnanso. According to Wikipedia policies, we should always prefer free image when available. Fortunatelly, we have a good number of free images of Gisele Bündchen. Would you consider taking a look at them? Best regards, --Abu Badali 03:32, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Andnanso, you don't need to reupload an image everytime someone has a complaint about it. Actually, it may even be considered a bad behaviour. Images Image:Coverrollingstone.jpg, Image:Gisele cover.jpg and Image:Gisele RollingStoneCover.jpg are the same. Wouldn't you prefer to state you opinion on the original deletion discussion? Best regards, --Abu Badali 16:53, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] STOP

Please STOP vandilising the Gisele page by claiming she graced over 7000. That is not true, because Claudia Schiffer still holds the record with over 900 magazine covers. Lil Flip246 15:37, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR on Gisele Bündchen

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing in Gisele Bündchen. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. — Gareth Hughes 22:17, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gisele's page

I don't know why your are changing the page of Gisele. I am not adding anything unreal and i am giving you the correct sources. Plus: even the pictures were made by me, by capturing from TV and editing on my computer. I'm doing what must to be done and every time you change it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Andnanso (talkcontribs) 17:18, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

To start with you are not following Wikipedia's standards and are therefore getting a number of regular editors upset. Read the welcome at the top you your talk page. New messages other than a welcome go at the bottom of the page. You should sign using four (~) tildes after your talk page posts. You need to read the guidelines and post ideas to the talk pages first or you are very close to being labelled a vandal and blocked. You also need to use the edit summaries. Doctalk 22:30, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
You have reverted a few days' worth of tidying up of this article to your own version once again. I cannot see any value in the version to which you keep reverting. If you would like things included in the article, edit the current version, or, better still, discuss them on the talk page. Constantly reverting to an old, inaccurate version of the page is not helping anyone. — Gareth Hughes 08:51, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
