Andy Warrington

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Andy Warrington (born June 10, 1976) is a goalkeeper for League One side Bury. He joined the club in 2007 after nine years at Doncaster Rovers following a loan spell at Gigg Lane.

In his time at Doncaster, Warrington was an extremely popular figure and arguably his best days were in the Championship winning 2003/04 season. Warrington's saves that season meant he will go down as one of Doncaster Rovers' most reliable ever goalkeepers.

However, for such the great keeper that he is, the ex York City man has been unfortunate with injuries. After breaking his jaw in a game at Southport back in 2002, Warrington then broke his leg in the Carling Cup game against Manchester City after collinding with Nedum Onuoha and never played for Doncaster Rovers in a competative game again.
