He was a member of the Philippine national basketball team. He is the brother of Danny Seigle, also a basketball player in the same league.

[edit] About the Player

He spent most of his time last season on the sidelines rather than on the court as he played only 14 games with one start and just 11.3 minutes of playing time per outing. As a result, the 6-9 center posted a career-low average of 4.4 points last year.

The 1997 Rookie of the Year awardee just got a one-year extension from management and with the arrival of Rafi Reavis and Billy Mamaril, his minutes could suffer. But the 35-year-old Seigle has fully recovered from his injury and if he gets more productive this year, his stay in the PBA could be extended.

[edit] Philippine National Team

In 2002, Seigle was selected to play in the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea. In 1998, he was selected to play for the Philippine national team. Seigle averaged 7. 1 Points and 2.5 rebounds. Currently Andy Seigle is the backup Center for the Barangay Ginebra Kings. He was one of the best defensive player early in his PBA Career.
