Andy Ripley is a former English rugby union player who gained 24 caps for England in the 1970s and a place on the Lions 1974 tour.

He is now a successsful businessman who has subsequently to his rugby career become a BBC World Superstars champion and world indoor rowing champion

In 2005 he was diganosed as suffering from prostate cancer, and is currently writing a book about this.
