Andy Quan (born July 7, 1969, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada), is a Chinese-Canadian author who now lives in Sydney, Australia. In his writing, he frequently explores the ways in which sexual identity and cultural identity interact.
He is the author of three books:
- Calendar Boy (a short fiction collection)
- Slant (poetry)
- Six Positions (erotica)
He has also co-edited another book, Swallowing Clouds: An Anthology of Chinese-Canadian Poetry, with Jim Wong-Chu.
In addition to his writing, Andy is a musician and community activist. Andy also has a keen interest in competitive wrestling, and has participated in matches himself. However, he decided to step away from competing after a back injury some years back. He also enjoys traveling, and thinks nothing of jetting off to Hawaii, Southeast Asia, and, occasionally, his native Canada.
