Andrew Petterson (born September 26, 1969 in Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player. He last played as a goalkeeper for the Australian A-League club Newcastle United Jets.

He used to play for Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth. During his time in England, Andy became famous on the south coast of the country for wearing long leather coats. Richard Murray, supremo at Charlton once said of Petterson, "Andy is just like a lumbering, beer-swilling oaf. The best keeper at our club for years." Whilst at Portsmouth, under the stewardship of JP Keeley, Petterson was demoted to reserve keeper. When offered a return to the second-highest level of English football with Walsall, he performed disastrously. On his debut he conceded 6 goals (many of which could be attributed to Petterson), and went on to concede 4 goals over the next 2 games, again with the majority of the blame being laid at Petterson's feet. Walsall were relegated at the end of the season by one single goal. Though it would be wrong to blame Petterson for the relegation, undoubtedly the disaster of conceding 10 goals in 3 games contributed to it.

Petterson, who also had a spell with Derry City FC of the League of Ireland has since decided that Australia offers a brighter future. He is currently a coach at Perth Glory.
