Andy LaVerne

Andy LaVerne(born December 4, 1947 in New York City) is an American jazz pianist and keyboardist.
He began studying piano at the Juilliard School when he was eight. From 1973 to 1975 he toured with Woody Herman's big band. He has also played with John Abercrombie. He has over a dozen CDs as a leader and has written several books concerning jazz.
