Andrew Mulligan Green (born July 7, 1977 in Lexington, Kentucky) is a second baseman who plays for the Nippon Ham Fighters franchise in Japan.
He is a versatile fielder, who has the ability to play in almost all of the positions in baseball. Since he made his debut, he has played at 2nd base, 3rd base, shortstop and in the outfield.
Green was named the 2005 Pacific Coast League MVP for the Diamondbacks Triple-A affiliate Tucson Sidewinders.
His first Major League hit came with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2004, when he hit a 2-run, pinch-hit homer against the New York Yankees at Bank One Ballpark (as it was known in 2004).
Andy's contract was recently sold to the Nippon Ham Fighters.[1]
