Andrzej Wawrzyniak

Andrzej Wawrzyniak (born December 3, 1931) is a Polish sailor, diplomat and collector. He spent over 30 years in Asia on various diplomatic posts including Indonesia, Vietnam, and Laos. In 1973 he donated to the Polish state his collection of Asian art and ethnographic objects. This formed the basis of the Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw, of which Wawrzyniak has been nominated lifetime Director.
