Andrew Whing (born 20 September 1984 in Birmingham) is a professional footballer currently playing for Coventry.
Whing has the honour to be the last player to have scored a league goal at Coventry's former ground, Highfield Road, when he scored the sixth goal in Coventry's 6-2 rout of Derby County on the 30th of April 2005.
Whing joined Brighton & Hove Albion on loan on October 8, 2006, initally for one month, but the club and fans alike were impressed by what they saw of Whing and the club extended his spell at the Withdean twice more. Whing was recalled by Coventry on December 27, 2006 as the team looked to reinvigorate themselves following a run of three straight defeats. Brighton tried unsuccessfully to sign Whing on a permanent basis.
Whing is a self-confessed Aston Villa fan, but even so, the Sky Blues faithful have really taken to him, often singing the catchy "Andy Whing, Andy Whing, Andy, Andy Whing. He's got red hair, but we don't care, Andy, Andy Whing".
