Andrew Pyle

Andrew Pyle (born 17 March 1955) is a British philosopher who is an expert on the history of philosophical atomism. He received his doctorate from the University of Bristol, and his dissertation, now a book called Atomism and its Critics: Democritus to Newton, is considered a classic in the field of atomism. Pyle is also an expert on the history of science and has given talks within the university and internationally on the nature of science historically. Pyle's teaching involves the history of epistemology and metaphysics in modern philosophy from Descartes to Kant.
