Andrew Mark Morawski is President and Chief Executive Officer of Telstra Incorporated, the U.S. subsidiary of the Australian-based Tier 1 global carrier, Telstra.

[edit] Career Biography

Before being appointed CEO,[1] Morawski was responsible for the expanded global sales engagement initiative managing Telstra resources in the United States, Australia, India, Hong Kong, China, United Kingdom, Singapore and Japan as Senior Vice President, Sales and Global Accounts.

Prior to his role as SVP, Morawski was responsible for managing all Telstra Incorporated sales team activities in North and South America. Morawski was Eastern Regional Vice President of Telstra Inc., responsible for building and maintaining a team of sales professionals to support Telstra's multinational customer base in the eastern region of the United States. In this role he oversaw Telstra's offices in New York, Chicago and Philadelphia.

Before joining Telstra, Morawski held the positions of Regional VP of Sales and Director of Sales Operations at Prism Communications Services. Morawski was also the Manager of Business Development at Nortel Networks' Public Networks Division in Dallas, where he managed the relationship between Nortel and Southwestern Bell through the acquisitin of Pacific Telesis and SNET.

Morawski held several sales and sales management positions with Nynex Meridian Systems, a joint venture between Nortel and Nynex, selling enterprise CPE equipment to corporate customers. He started his sales career at American Communications in New York.

He is a member of the prestigious Young Presidents' Organization.

Morawski was born June 22, 1972 in New York. He was raised with his two older sisters, Julie and Elizabeth, by his immigrant Polish parents in Long Island, where he now resides with his wife Susan of eleven years and their two children, Rebecca and Jack. He enjoys alternative music, fitness and travel, especially to Australia and Disneyworld.
