Andrew Michael 'Smudge' Smith (born October 1, 1967, Dewsbury, Yorkshire) is a former English cricketer.

Smith was a highly effective swing bowler for Gloucestershire, who played a single Test for England at Headingley in 1997 against Australia. Graham Thorpe infamously put down Matthew Elliot at first slip while on 29, for what would have been Smith's first (and only) Test wicket. Elliot went on to make 199 and Australia won comfortably by an innings.

He was a One-test wonder and never played for England again, but remained one of the most consistent swing bowlers on the county circuit until his retirement in 2003. He latterly became a solicitor with Bevan Ashford. Mike's son William is hotly tipped to follow in his father's footsteps as a top class fast bowler.^{[citation needed]}
