Andrew McNamara

Andrew McNamara was first elected as the State Member for Hervey Bay at 2001 election. Prior to his election he was a solicitor.
On 13 September 2006 Mr McNamara was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Main Roads, Paul Lucas.
In February 2005 Mr McNamara came to national prominence as the first mainstream Australian politician to speak out on the issue of peak oil[[1]].[2] Mr McNamara is the Chair of the Queensland Government's Oil Vulnerability Taskforce and the Foundation Patron of the Australian Society for the Study of Peak Oil.[3]
