Andrew Linton was born July 16, 1986 in Ballymena. He attended Ballymena Academy where he was selected to play for Ulster Schools XV.

Andrew Linton is currently studying civil engineering at Queens University, Belfast and plays for the First XV Rugby Team. He has made several appearances for Irish Universities, but is currently serving a 2 Month Ban for exposing himself to a referee and many shocked spectators, after disagreeing with a decision.
