Andrew Ishee

Andrew Ishee is a Gospel pianist and former member of the Palmetto State Quartet.
[edit] Early Life
Andrew Walker Ishee was born on December 29, 1978 in Laurel, Mississippi to Harold and Sara Ishee. He is the youngest of three children. He began playing the piano at the age of eight. He says that his parents made him take piano lessons when he was ten, but he did not take them very long. When he was fifteen, he worked as a Southern Gospel disc jockey at WEEZ in Laurel, Mississippi.
When he was eleven years old, Andrew started playing with a local group Highway 7. At age sixteen, he auditioned and started playing for the Dixie Echoes Quartet. After spending about a year with the Dixie Echoes Quartet, he joined Masterpeace, a new group formed in Laurel, Mississippi. In this group, he first traveled with Tony Peace, along with bass vocalist Mike Bullock.
At age eighteen, he auditioned and got the job playing for the Kingsmen Quartet. He played for the Kingsmen Quartet for five years until their retirement in September of 2002. At that time, he accepted the pianist job for the Palmetto State Quartet.

As of December 31, 2006, Andrew was retired from the Palmetto State Quartet. He currently lives in Laurel, Mississippi with his wife, Sheree, where he serves as the music director for Life Church.
