Andrew Alberts (born June 30, 1981 in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, United States) is a professional ice hockey defenseman who currently plays for the Boston Bruins of the NHL.

[edit] Playing Career
Alberts played high school hockey for Benilde-St. Margaret's School from 1997-1999, one of the top high school hockey programs in the state of Minnesota, helping them win the 1999 Minnesota Class A state hockey championship. Alberts played collegiately for Boston College from 2001-2005 with a total of 66 points and 243 penalty minutes in 149 career college games. He didn't miss a game until suffering two knee injuries during his senior year in 2004-05. He was named an East First Team All-American in 2004-05 and was named to the Hockey East First Team All-Star and to the Hockey East All-Tournament Team, all in the year that the Boston College Eagles won the Hockey East Title.
He was drafted 179th overall by the Bruins in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
