Andre Gurode (born March 6, 1978 in Houston, Texas) is an American football center for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. He was selected with the fifth pick of the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft out of the University of Colorado.[citation needed]

On October 1, 2006, in the third quarter of a game against the Tennessee Titans, Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth stomped on Gurode's head, after removing Gurodes's helmet. Haynesworth's cleats caused a laceration requiring thirty stitches.[citation needed] Haynesworth was ejected, and subsequently suspended by the NFL for five games without pay.

Following the 2006 NFL season, Andre Gurode was named to his first Pro Bowl as an injury replacement, and he will likely be playing part of the game with his team's quarterback, Tony Romo. Prior to that, Gurode had been considered a "pro-bowl snub" after not originally being selected.

On February 20, 2007, the Cowboys resigned Gurode to a six-year contract worth 30 million USD including a 10 million dollar signing bonus.
