Andre` Bugeja (born November 4, 1986 in Guardamangia, Malta) is the station manager of 93.3 Central FM, a community radio station on Malta.

[edit] Early life

Son of Carmel and Catherine Bugeja, Andre` was educated at the Tumas Dingly primary school in his home town in Attard. At the age of 10 he attended the Liceo of Dun Guzepp Zammit Brighella in Hamrun. By the time he reached his teens he already showed a great interest in radio thanks to his walkie talkie and home stereo. To endorse this interest Andre` explored the art of radio through his first real radio experience on a small community radio station by conducting a discussion program. During this period he also developed a great interest in IT and graphics. At the age of 15 he moved on to continue his studies at the Junior College at Msida.

[edit] Radio

In early 2003 Andre` had already envisioned the idea of opening his own radio station. This dream came true in 2004 thanks to the local parish which lent its premises for the first one month test run of 93.3 Central FM in the summer of the same year. Operation was suspended for several months after the first trial run but preparations never stopped. In 2005 Andre` continued his radio activity by joining two other radio stations in Malta. In February 2006, 93.3 Central FM re-opened by operating from its new studios in Attard under his direction.
