André Machado

Brazilian journalist (born in Rio de Janeiro, 1962). Graduated by the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro's School of Communication. Presently reporter and columnist of the computer section of the O Globo newspaper, but also worked as executive editor in various magazines with the Manchete Group and as a writer with the Fluminense FM radio station. André is the co-author of three technology books in Portuguese -- Como fazer CDs de alta qualidade" (with Aroaldo Veneu), "Linux: Comece Aqui" (with Aroaldo Veneu and Fernando de Oliveira) and "Como blindar seu PC" (with Alexandre Freire). Received in 2006 the SecMaster award for his stories on technology security, granted by Via Forum and ISSA (Information Security Systems Association).
