André Kim(앙드레 김; 김봉남 金鳳男, 24 August 1935–) is a fashion designer born in South Korea.

Mr. Kim started designing fashion since 1962. In 1966, he had his first fashion show in Paris. He was the designer of the uniforms for Korean athletes of the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. After that, he was always on the list of invitation to take part in occasions held by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). To celebrate the coming of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, he was invited to a fashion show held in Qingdao with clothes designed by him worn by the famous Korean movie star Kim Rae-won.

The design of André Kim is said to combine the Classical design with Futuristic elements. His clothes are highly appreciated by celebrities in Korea.

Michael Jackson was a big fan of André Kim and asked him to be his personal designer, but Kim stated that his clothes were for everybody.[citation needed] Still, he designed many costumes for famous musicians and celebrities.

André Kim is also known for having very lavish fashion shows, choosing only the most elegant and luxurious locations. Often, he has famous actors or actresses model his clothes.

He never married but adopted a son.

Recently, he designed uniforms for the Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies in Yongin.

Despite being male, he wears "heavy make-up". [1]
