André N. Davis (born June 12, 1979 in Niskayuna, New York) is an American football wide receiver who currently plays for the Buffalo Bills of the NFL.

[edit] High School and College career

Davis was the star on the Niskayuna High School track and field team, where he also played soccer. From there, he accepted a track scholarship from Virginia Tech, where he was a teammate of Michael Vick. He scored the first touchdown for the Hokies in the 2000 Sugar Bowl game against Florida State, despite falling 46-29. He was awarded the Today's Top VIII Award as a member of the Class of 2002.

[edit] NFL career

Davis was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 2002 NFL Draft. He led the team with five touchdowns in the 2003 season. He tied an NFL record in 2004 when Jeff Garcia hooked up with him on a 99-yard touchdown pass which coincidentally was his last catch of that season before going on injured reserve.

On August 22, 2005, Davis was traded to the New England Patriots in exchange for a draft pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.

He signed with the Bills on March 12, 2006.
