Andover High School is a public high school in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA. It is part of the Bloomfield Hills School District. The school was founded in 1950 with a small class of about 100 students; it now has over 1000 students. The growth in Bloomfield Hills' population caused the city to open another high school called Lahser High School. The school boasts well rounded programs in academics, the arts and sports. The school teams are known as the Andover Barons. Andover has a history of high academic standards. Over 98% of its graduates attend college after graduation, and the actual graduation rate is about 97%. In past years, Andover is well known for its boys and girls swim teams which have won several state championships (15 total, 9 boys, 6 girls) and produced many All-American swimmers as well as its forensics teams which have also won numerous state championships including 10 in a row from 1993-2003.
