Notable alumni of the college include N. G. Ranga, NT Rama Rao former chief minister of the state, Jandhyala Papayya Sastry, a famous Poet (wrote Pushpa Vilapam, Kunthi Vilapam). Two other former Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh Kasu Brahmananda Reddy and Bhavanam Venkatram were also the alumni of this college. The Alumni Association of AC College celebrated its Silver Jubilee Anniversary on 5th November 2006. Eminent alumni participated in this function and distinguished teachers of the college were invited and honoured on this occasion.
