Andalas University (Indonesian: Universitas Andalas) is the oldest university in Indonesia outside of Java. The university consists of nine faculties, with most located at the main campus Limau Manis, 12 km from the center of Padang, West Sumatra. This campus occupies 500 hectares, at an elevation of about 100 m. The Faculty of Medicine is located in the city center, near the Central General Hospital M. Djamil.
