Doesn't Gandalf say that Ancalagon could have destroyed one of the 9 rings with his fire? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Meelar (talkcontribs) 00:55, 20 March 2004 (UTC).

He says that the dragonfire might destroy a Ring of Power, but not even Ancalagon could destroy the One Ring. Ausir 01:01, 20 Mar 2004 (UTC)

It says in the account of the war of wrath that the birds and dragons fought for an entire day. The duel between Earendil and Ancalagon is not specifically mentioned in any detail. But the way that the article is written makes it seem like Earendil and Ancalagon fought through the enitre day. I'm not sure how to reword it though. Maeglin Lómion 02:51, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Correct me if I'm wrong but nothing says that Ancalagon was THE FIRST winged dragon. The biggest. ONE of the first but not the first? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.83.252.124 (talk) 15:26, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Erm, isint Ancalagon confused in some way with Glaurung in this text? The mightiest and strongest dragon Morgoth ever breed were, im pretty sure, Glaurung? And i dont really think you can mean that Túrin were given the credit for killing Ancalagon in any text Tolkien wrote? Túrin did commit suicide after the death of Glaurung and he would have anyway died of age before the battle were Morgoth sends out Ancalagon took place. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.217.65.156 (talk) 13:58, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
