"Butyl" nitrate? Amyl is the C5 radical, and butyl is C4. Are these the street names of butyl nitrate, in which case they're misplaced, or is the chemical name incorrect? DS 21:32, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)
The amyl nitrite article says the same thing about angina and cyanide poisening. One of the two articles seems wrong. MH 20:06, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Treating angina and cyanide poisoning is amyl nitrite, not this amyl nitrate. That msds link is wrong. which is really scary (Rajah 07:09, 3 June 2006 (UTC))
- I've been bold and decimated this article, stripping it down to one uncited 'fact' and the only concrete bit of information we have: that it's often mistaken for amyl nitrite. I've also been unable to source any information on amyl nitrate that wasn't obviously refering to amyl nitrite, even when only browsing .edu domains. At this rate it almost warrants a simple redirect to the nitrite's article, but I think I've been bold enough for the time being. ◄ИΞШSΜΛЯΞ► 19:35, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
