[edit] Population data
In my big copyedit of a few minutes ago, I removed the following table and integrated its numbers into the section "Modern Amykles".
Year | Population | Change |
---|---|---|
1981 | 1,034 | - |
1991 | 589 | -545/-52.71% |
Problem: the data in the table is inconsistent; if the population figures are right, the change figure is wrong, and vice versa. The original remark in "Modern Amykles" had it that the village "lost over half its population", which relies on the change figure being right. I removed that remark and used the figures of 1034 and 589, assuming the subtraction was done wrong. Where did this data come from? What should the numbers be? --Stebulus 09:31, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
