Amsterdam Mall is a shopping mall in Amsterdam, New York. Originally constructed in 1977 as a single-level plaza, it was converted to an enclosed shopping mall in 1980. Major tenants included The Carl Company, McCrory, Present Comany, Fashion Bug, and Grand Union. The mall also offered a small food court and a four-screen movie theater.
Currently, the mall is a dead mall. Current major tenants include the NYS Labor Department, a Chinese restaurant, True Value Hardware, JCPenney Catalog Store, and an off-track betting parlor. Officially renamed Amsterdam Riverfront Center, the structure now features a pedestrian bridge, connecting the center with the Riverlink Park.
