Amritpur is a prominent town and one of three tehsils in the Farrukhabad District of the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India. The other two tehsils are Farrukhabad and Fatehgarh. Amritpur tehsil was created from Rajepur Block after the district was split in 1997.

Amritpur is located 13 km north of Fatehgarh, 10 km from Shamsabad, 12 km from Jalalabad (the capital of Nangarhar province in Afghanistan), 5 km from Allahganj and 11 km from Farrukhabad.
The nearest railway station is Kaimganj Railway Station. The nearest airport is Amausi Airport.
