Mueang Chonburi (Thai: เมืองชลบุรี) is the capital district (Amphoe Mueang) of Chonburi Province, central Thailand.

Neigboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Bang Pakong of Chachoengsao Province, Phan Thong, Ban Bueng and Si Racha. To the west is the Bay of Bangkok.

The district is subdivided into 18 communes (tambon), which are further subdivided into 107 villages (muban). There are three towns (thesaban mueang) - Chonburi, Saen Suk and Ban Suan. More municipal areas are 3 townships (thesaban tambon), Khlong Tam Ru, Bang Sai, and Ang Sila. There are further 10 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
