Chanae (Thai: จะแนะ) is a district (Amphoe) in the southern part of Narathiwat province, southern Thailand.

Tambon Dusong Yo and Chanae were separated from Ra-ngae district to create Chanae minor district (King Amphoe) on July 15th, 1983. It was officially upgraded to a full district on January 1st, 1988.
Chanae is the Malay name of a native Colocasia species.

Neighboring districts are (from the west clockwise) Betong and Than To of Yala province, Sisakhon, Ra-ngae, Sukhirin of Narathiwat province and the state Kelantan of Malaysia.

The district is subdivided into 4 communes (tambon), which are further subdivided into 29 villages (muban). There are no municipal (thesaban) areas, and 4 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
