[edit] Ford Capri image

I notice you have placed an image at Ford Capri which is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike License. It is poorly indicated on the Wikipedia help pages, but noncommercial-only images are deprecated here and will probably be removed in future. Would you consider changing to a license that does not have the noncommercial clause? —Morven 12:36, Sep 7, 2004 (UTC)

Good stuff! Nice to see another image contributor. There are huge numbers of articles begging for an image ... —Morven 13:03, Sep 7, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] DVTs

There is a Mk3 [1] and a Mk4 [2] DVT, your amendment to the article suggests otherwise Smiley Face BesigedB 20:28, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Northamptonshire

You voted for Northamptonshire, this week's UK Collaboration of the week. Please come and help it become a featured-standard article. -- Francs2000 | Talk [[]] 22:21, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] rehash of UK CotW

Hiya, I've made a few modifications to the UK Wikipedians' Collaboration of the Week, and I thought you'd be interested in the new page and helping out again with it, as you have contributed in the past! :) Talrias | talk 21:09, Mar 14, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] BR Class 90

Yes I have several photos of Class 90s. Take your pick from EWS, Parcels, Virgin or Railfreight liveries. Our Phellap 23:37, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] UK COTW: Transport in the United Kingdom

Hey, just to let you know, an article you supported, Transport in the United Kingdom, is this week's collaboration. Cheers! -- Joolz 19:17, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Interesting Noid trivia

Interesting indeed! Would you please cite your source with a link to the content you recently added to the Avoid the Noid article? —RaD Man (talk) 01:24, 14 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Rail transport modelling

Hi - I hope you don't mind that I replaced the photo you uploaded to the "Methods of power" section. If you can find (or shoot) a photo showing the boiler of the locomotive, it would be more appropriate in that section. It's still an excellent image on the "Live steam" page, showing the contrast to the large 2-10-0. Could you put the scale of the Mamod engine into your photo caption, to point out the size difference - one might not realize it from the photos alone.

I also replaced the image on the Scale model page with something that is more appropriate - I think you must agree the Mamod is more a toy than a real scale model. --Janke | Talk 17:14, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] re:Spamming

But sir! You should be proud that I do my business in the sandbox, not the article pages!

[edit] Altrop

My point Amos was that it is a rumour contrary to any evidence. If we include material like that in wiki we might as well add the moon being made of cheese.

[edit] Flickr Tag linking

Hello. I finally rediscovered my feature request after losing it for 2 months (very careless of me). Does your Flickr template exist? Nobody else contributed to that discussion. I suppose I'm nervous about what it might unleash. Ie, increasing the likelihood of Flickr tag spamming, perhaps. I'd be grateful if you'd let me know about the template on my talk page (as my Watchlist is so long I shall lose you if you reply here). Regards, --bodnotbod 02:47, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

  • Excellent work, sir: that's marvellous. --bodnotbod 13:55, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
    • Hmmm, doesn't seem to work very well on Ice cream, give it a try. Assuming the problem is that the pagename is more than one word, I think ideally I'd like to see it so that each word had a + sign instead of a space between words when it's transformed into the URL. I suspect something like that is going to be a lot harder to achieve. Let me know if the advice is to limit the template to one-word topics. Best wishes, --bodnotbod 20:01, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism by User:203.26.2.2

I noticed you gave User:203.26.2.2 as final warning for vandalism (on that user's talk page. I have reverted two items of vandalism, Kevin Johnson and Inca Empire.

Thanks for the heads up. I've gone ahead and blocked the user for the persistent vandalism. -- BMIComp (talk, HOWS MY DRIVING) 17:58, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] No, it really is broken

From here

When I try, it says 'the page cannot be displayed'. To be honest, I was going to make a List of fictional moles. I can only think of three, and one I'm not really sure it counts. Maybe it better be List of fictional moles and other borrowing mammals. AAAAAADDDR 11:22, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

If you read your comments above, you will notice both titles are red (or have a red question mark). Click the title of the page you want to create, and you will see a message that "Wikipedia does not yet have a page called List of fictional moles". Any text you enter in the box below will form the new page when you click the Save button. You could take a look at List of fictional rabbits to give you some ideas for page layouts, section headings, etc. Don't worry if you can only think of three fictional moles - others will soon add more if there are any. -=# Amos E Wolfe talk #=- 15:53, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

I know all that, but it really does say 'this page cannot be displayed', as in, the page is broken., there's a 404 etc. And now my row of links at the top, with my name and stuff, runs away and hides under the Wikipedia logo when I try and click it. Kid Apathy 18:56, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Sorcery (disambiguation)

I noticed your recent edit to Sorcery (disambiguation). Disambiguation pages are not articles and as such have special style characteristics, which inlcude not providing excess wikilinks (which distract readers) and not using piping (which confuses readers). Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages) has more information, and I'm happy to answer any questions. --Commander Keane 16:06, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Yellow train

Many thanks for tidying up the page. I have quite a bit to learn:-) Collieman

[edit] Image:Tj-loco-vec.gif

Wikipedia now supports SVG images, would you be able to upload the image in that format? boffy_b 14:19, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Agreed it would be nice to have a vector version, for example i just removed a traced shadow that looked really weired as it was the only one traced. But i'm sure i could have done a better job of doing so if i'd had the original vector source to work with. Plugwash 23:37, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Maps of Sodor

Hi. I noticed that you removed the comment about 'Marthwaite' from the maps on Sodor (fictional island).

Good stuff!

Had you considered doing this elsewhere too? The same comments exist on North Western Railway (fictional), and maybe other pages too (sorry, haven't checked). I thought about copying your edit, but then thought it would be more appropriate for you to do yourself.

[edit] List of rail accidents

There is currently a discussion about whether we should set criteria for inlcusion of accients on the List of rail accidents page, and if so what the criteria should be.

The discussion is located at Talk:List of rail accidents/Criteria for inclusion, where your input would be most welcome. Thryduulf 00:39, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Photo Matching Service

Thought you might want to know about this, it has the same goals as Wikipedia:WikiProject Photography, but is better organized. If you have any questions, please contact me on my talk page. --Gphototalk 19:20, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
