Amotz Asa-El was the Jerusalem Post's executive editor in 2002 - 2005, and before that served as its business editor, news editor, and editor of its overseas edition, The International Jerusalem Post.

Author of "The Diaspora and the Lost Tribes of Israel" and a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Asa-El is now the Jerusalem Post's senior columnist and a lecturer at the Shalem Center. He was previously foreign editor of the Hebrew financial daily Telegraph and a foreign correspondent for the San Francisco Chronicle.
