Amos Kimunya

Amos Kimunya, born March 6, 1962 in Kiambu, and immediately migrated to the new Nyandarua District, Kenya. He is a Kenyan politician and a Member of Parliament for Kipipiri Constituency. He represents the National Rainbow Coalition. On February 14, 2006 he was appointed Minister of Finance by President Mwai Kibaki following the resignation of David Mwiraria who had resigned to pave way for investigation in to the Anglo Leasing Scandal. Previously, Mr. Kimunya was the Minister of Lands and Settlement.

When the National Rainbow Coalition (NARC) won the 2002 general elections, President Kibaki appointed Mr. Kimunya as the Minister of Lands and Settlement. He had been elected Member of Parliament for Kipipiri Constituency.Mr. Kimunya's political might will be seen if he retains his Kipipiri seat.

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Nairobi. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, K) and a Certified Public Secretary (CPS, K).
