Amos B. Hostetter, Jr. was born in 1937. This former media executive attended The Pingry School for his secondary education. After graduating from Amherst College with a Bachelor of Arts/Science, he obtained a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University. Hostetter, Jr is the founder and former chairman and chief executive officer of Continental Cablevision. With an estimated current net worth of around $2.2 billion, he is ranked by Forbes as the 350-richest person in the world (2006). He is the son of the late Amos Hostetter, who was a prominent trader at Commodities Corporation. Hostetter, Jr is currently chairman of Pilot House Associates, LLC.
